✨ Doka, Grecia & Sarchí Tour ✨
Embark on a relaxing yet unforgettable journey through the Central Valley, where history, tradition, and Costa Rica’s vibrant culture come together.
Duration: 7 hours
Location: Alajuela, Central Valley
Estimated Departure from San José: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Our adventure begins as we take the Pan-American Highway toward Alajuela, passing by the Monument to Agriculture, an iconic symbol of the region.
We start with a guided visit to the world-renowned Doka Coffee Estate. Here, you’ll walk through a real coffee plantation and discover the ancestral techniques used to cultivate, harvest, and roast the famous “golden bean.” After exploring the step-by-step process, you’ll enjoy a tasting of one of the finest coffees in Costa Rica. To complete the experience, a delicious Costa Rican buffet lunch awaits.
Next, we continue to the picturesque town of Grecia, famous for its stunning metal church—a true architectural gem with soaring ceilings, colorful stained-glass windows, and elegant design.
Our final stop takes us to Sarchí, the cradle of Costa Rican craftsmanship. This charming town is filled with artisan workshops and vibrant souvenir shops, where you can find unique handmade treasures. The highlight is the world’s largest ox cart, a national symbol proudly recognized by the Guinness Book of Records. Measuring nearly 45 feet (14 meters) long and weighing over 2 tons, this masterpiece of cedar wood is painted with traditional bright designs that celebrate Costa Rica’s culture and heritage.
