Duration: 13 hours
Location: Manuel Antonio, Central Pacific
Estimated Departure from San José: Early in the morning
Relax, enjoy the beach, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica’s most stunning destinations. This park combines crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, and lush tropical rainforest, offering a paradise for beach lovers, snorkelers, and surfers alike.
Your journey begins early in the morning, crossing the mountains surrounding the Central Valley along the main road connecting San José to the Pacific coast. Once past the mountain range, we’ll stop for a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast at a riverside restaurant along the Tárcoles River.
We’ll continue along the Costanera Sur, enjoying breathtaking ocean views, African palm plantations, and charming coastal villages until reaching Puerto Quepos, the gateway to the park.
Upon arrival at the park, explore the tropical rainforest trails, spotting abundant wildlife such as monkeys, raccoons, iguanas, sloths, and exotic birds. Eventually, you’ll arrive at the pristine beach, where you can swim or continue exploring the trails. For the adventurous, a hike to Punta Catedral offers spectacular panoramic views—don’t forget your camera!
After enjoying the park, we’ll return to the restaurant for a delicious lunch before heading back to San José.
